while i was typing the trivia, 933 played Liang Wenfu's 'Xin Jia Po Pai'. It has not sound old despite it was released 20 years ago, truly a classic!

Jolin's Mei Ren Ji sounds like Sexyback at some parts. And its a song that i listen more, i'll get addicted to it.
I dont like LeeHom's new single. Its kinda boring to be considered something from LeeHom. It may end up being like Hua Tian Cuo which didnt really garner enuff support.

Eddie Peng will definitely not hit no.1 and will probably drop very soon so theres nothing to worry abt. What im worried abt is 韩庚. He is worse than Eddie Peng imo. I hope he doesnt hit no.1.

Chart Trivia Week 31

Jay’s Most Successful Album

By topping the chart for 3 weeks in a row with ‘Shuo Le Zai Jian’, Jay’s ‘The Era’ album has sent 3 songs spending a total of 8 weeks at No.1. This is his most successful ever, beating 6 weeks from Yi Fu Zhi Ming (4 from the title track and 2 from ‘Qing Tian’) and Yi Ran Fan Te Xi (2 weeks from ‘Qian Li Zhi Wai’, 1 week from ‘Tui Hou’ and 3 weeks from ‘Jv Hua Tai’).

It is expected next week will be all change at the top though.

Sammi’s Dance Hits

She was the dance queen in Hong Kong pop scene. Strangely, her dance hits are hardly popular on the charts. She had a No.1 with Korean cover version of ‘Du Yi Wu Er’ in 2001 but her other dance tracks never got higher than No.7 (the peak of ‘Mei Li Ran Shao’). All change this week, as her gospel dance (?) ‘Xin Zhe De Ai’ jumped 10-5. It has been 3 years since she hit the Top 3, when ‘Ta Men Shuo’ got to No.3 in 2007. Will ‘Xin Zhe De Ai’ hit the Top 3?

Queen Samples

Han Geng’s ‘My Logo’ (No.7 this week) and Nick Zhou Tanghao’s ‘Ma Xing Wo’ (No.20 this week) both have been sampling western pops. The strange thing is that both are sampling from leading ladies of the west, with ‘My Logo’ sampling Lady Gaga’s ‘Poker Face’ (check out the starting few bars) and ‘Ma Xing Wo’ with Rihanna’s ‘Take A Bow’ (throughout the entire song).

Lastly, with ‘Kuan Shu’ crashing 6-out, Shen Mu Yu Tong is tied with Nicholas Zhang’s ‘Ji Mo Bian Jie’ from 2005 which did a freefall of 6-out from the chart. This is not the all time record. It is still held by SHE’s ‘Tong Kuai’ from 2005 and Wilber Pan and Blue J’s ‘Tong Yi Ge Yi Han’ from 2009 which crashed 5-out.
