I didnt think that LeeHom's song deserve to champ. It's just not up to standard coming from Leehom. Much prefer his "Ni bu zhi dao de shi" as compared to this.

Nope, me too. I find the tune quite nice...but the lyrics quite dumb and irritating. Like saying the obvious.

Chart Trivia Week 33

The Everything Man

Congrats to Leehom, as 'Chai Mi You Yan Jiang Chu Cha' jumped 2-1 to take over the pole position. This is Leehom's 17th No.1 overall and with this, he set up a 3 way tie as the 4th male artise with the most No.1 songs. The list are now as follows:

1. Jay Zhou - 25 No.1s
2. Andy Lau - 24 No.1s
3. Jeff Chang - 18 No.1s
4. Leehom, Aaron Kwok, Jackie Cheung - 17 No.1s

This is also the first time all the common items hit the top. Maybe someone will write about tea pot, toothbrush next.

Good Baby

Congrats to Karen Mo, as 'Bao Bei' has returned her to the Top 5, climbing 10-5. She was last in the Top 5 in 2006 when 'Shou' reached No.3.

Notable mention to Zhang Yunjing, as 'Huai Le' just tied 'Po Tian Huang' from 2009 as her biggest at No.9. Looks like she would be able to climb higher.

Of Brackets, Commas And Dashes

This is a real gem of chart trivia which I didn't realise. Yan Jue's 'Wo Xi Huan (Bu, Wo Ai)' is the rare song with a bracket. The only other song with a bracket was Aaron Kwok's 'Shi Yi (Liang Jie) Bei Wang Lu' which was a No.1 hit in 1996. It doesn't end there though. Yan Jue's song is also only the 2nd song in chart history with a comma. The last song with a comma was a No.3 hit in 1998, 'Xie Yi Shou Ge April 5, 1969' for Shun Zi (of 'Hui Jia' fame) . For a song with both () and , , Yan Jue is the first.

Also interesting is Rene Liu's 'Ji Xu - Gei Shi Wu Sui De Zi Ji'. It is the 2nd song with a dash since Gary Cao's '3-7-20-1', a No.1 hit in 2007.

The most interesting song title? In 1996, The Grasshoppers hit No.3 with '?'.
