I'm likin Hebe's song more now. Her voice is really Faye Wong-ish in LOVE. I'll have to warm up to it. I think her album will be great.

Hangeng pls plunge next week!! The only undeserving song in the top 5.

Last but not least, CONGRATZ TO JAYYYY. 5 times champ finally. I didnt want any1 to break S.H.E's record for this year but since i love this song so much i dont mind Jay has done really well on the charts this time around.


BTW: I THINK JIAHUI IS A REALLY BAD HOST FOR THIS PROGRAMME. She only uses words like "qu shi" etc etc. And she made so many errors today...

The chart may have a lot of bad songs, but it is NOT YOUR rights to hack and chop each and every songs in the Top 10, especially completely silencing the song at No.10, Charlene Choi's 'Ai Ying Cai Hui Ping'. This is definitely a chart first. Some songs were shortened especially during the earlier days of Long Hu Bang, but that was because the chart only lasted 1 hour. You mean for 2 hours you cannot even play all 20 songs? Your arrogance and bad conduct has left a very, very bad impressions on the listeners. We will not hesitate to complaint to get you off the zhan zhang section FOREVER.

By returning to No.1, Jay's 'Shuo Le Zai Jian' has become the longest running No.1 since Jeff Chang's 'Xin Yang' from 2000 at 5 weeks. Now we can only wait for Han Geng to overtake him, omg...

Real Super Idol

Since its launch, 'Super Idol' has been the lesser known counterpart of 'One Million Stars'. However, some genuine stars are starting to emerge from that competition.

This week, Zhang Yunjing jumped 9-4 with 'Huai Le', her first Top 5 hit. Will she make the boys run for their money.

Also doing an impressive return is Wei Li An whose 'Yin Wei Ai' opens at one spot higher than his previous hit at No.19. Will he finaly has a genuine hit this time? By the way, Wei Li An is the first artiste ever to have his first two hit's title being recycle from big hits in the past. 'You Mei You' was No.3 in 1998 for Julian Cheung (Zhang Zhilin, husband of Yuan Yongyi), while 'Yin Wei Ai' was Andy Lau's No.1 in 1997.

-Congrats to Claire Guo as 'Liao Tian' became her first 3rd single to make the Top 20.
-No good news for Jolin as 'Mei Ren Ji' has become her first 1st single to miss the No.1 since 'Hai Dao' in 2003. However, it may not be all lost, as 'Xiao Shang Kou' opens at No.12, equaling the opening of 'Mei Ren Ji', a first time ever for Jolin.
-Lastly, if Jeff Chang's 'Zui Chu' from the new releases enters the chart, he will be the 1st artiste to have charting singles in 4 decades, the 80s, 90s, 00s and 10s. He is heading to be the Cliff Richard of Mandopop. It will be even more amazing if that goes to No.1.

just found the video for Daniel Chan's song. a nice one indeed. can't find the Song Bo's song. rmb seeing that they both were sitting on a sofa or something.

Oh yes, i knew the programme was recorded beforehand but then i just dont like how Jiahui hosts the show in general.. Hmmm. I prefer ZhiYong-LiYi days, better still, LiYi-HuiShi days.

I didnt think the top 10 songs deserved to get cut off also. And if wanna cut shld just cut the 20th-11th ranking like last time man.

I thought the hosts do the recording and pass to zhan zhang..There were incidents whereby the hosts forgets to remove their talkings during the recordings.Zhan Zhang just play accordingly what was given to him or her. I dont think the zhan zhang will cut the recordings. Hmmm....


Chartfanatic: I like this Daniel song. That album is one of the best Daniel albums. This album let me feel that Daniel is not really a ou xiang pai singer. Though I dont like the zhu da song "bi wo xing fu", but a lot of other songs inside are good...

dasonjames: in case you might find it revolting - Daniel's song is a cover version of a less known Westlife song known as Open Your Heart.

Chinese Male

This week No.1 is hardly surprising with the falling votes for 'Shuo Le Zai Jian', Leehom managed a 2nd week at No.1 with 'Chai Mi You Yan Jiang Chu Cha'. Personally, I don't think this is his best.

By moving to No.2 with 'My Logo', Han Geng has become the joint biggest male artiste who is based in Mainland China, tying Hins Zhang who got to No.2 with 'My Way' in 2002. Looking at the results of their female counterparts, mainland male artistes should really buck up.

All Grown Up

Congrats to Nanquan Mama. After the success of Langhua Xiongdi, the whole group finally had their 1st Top 10 as 'Jue Dou Ba Ha' leapt 13-10. This is after 6 years in the business with 3 change in line up. They should have ditched singing secondary school songs for a long time.

It is also interesting to note that this is only the 2nd song in the chart history that featured a male baritone. The first? 26 years ago, the theme song of The Awakening ('Wu Suo Nan Yang') was sung entirely in baritone by Sun Zhen Fu who passed away few years back. That actually reached No.3 in 1984.

Common But Rare

This week at the positions of 18 to 20, we see 3 new songs, 'Xin Teng Bi Ji Ben' by Han Geng, 'Lu Guo De Xin Niang' by Rynn Lin and 'Ji Xian' by Lala Xu. Despite being very common items (notebook, bride and limit), this is the first time ever these items appear as part of a song title. What has the somg writers been thinking?
